Micrahoo or Yacrosoft?
There are rumours once again in the air about the merger between Microsoft and Yahoo and
hence the big question has arisen that: Is there a merger in the offing between Microsoft and Yahoo?
While Google continues to increase its already dominant position, Microsoft certainly isn't
happy about the poor response to Windows Live Search. So are they ready to return to the Inktomi-based
results that MSN used to have prior to Yahoo buying it over. As their market share is down by around
6% as well as their new operating system Vista proved to be unpopular with the public, maybe they
feel that drastic action is needed.
Yahoo's strength in social networking might be the reason for attraction but there would be a
lot of service duplication to jettison, their respective mail systems and to their PPC advertising campaign.
